🍦Gratitude and Reflection for 2023

This week marks the final edition of this newsletter for 2023. It will return in the new year, but for now, this one is a reflection and gratitude of this past year.

I’m sure I’m certainly not alone in the feeling that 2023 was, in some ways, a really tough year. The cost of living crisis coming in off the back of a pandemic a couple of years before that, I’ve had numerous conversations this year with clients, prospects and peers about the struggles of being a business owner. More so than usual!

Despite all that, though, small business continues to defy the biggest obstacles and the determination and resilience I’ve seen this year alone has been incredible. The ‘spirit’ of entrepreneurship has been amazing to see.

However, as I take our pre-year end meetings with our clients over the past couple of months, there’s been an optimism and excitement for 2024 and what the new year will bring, which leaves me looking back very gratefully on the past 12 months and looking forward to the next.

To our clients that trust us and invite us into your journey and dreams, it’s a pleasure to be working with so many wonderful businesses and achieving so many amazing things. I can’t wait to see what you all achieve in 2024 and beyond. I appreciate your faith and support, and I thank you for working with us.

To my wonderful team, who are the beating heart of Cone, it would not be possible without the passion and dedication that you each display, and I’m truly grateful for each one of you. We’ve achieved some fantastic milestones this year, revamped a load of our processes, had someone complete their AAT Level 4 studies and 2 people finish their ACCA studies (pending the last exam result in January - Fingers crossed 🤞). Hard work and dedication - Cone is bright and full because of you. Thank you for all that you do!

Lastly, to our supporters/followers/lurkers of this newsletter - I appreciate all the support. It does not go unnoticed!

We’ll be closing on Tuesday 19th with our team Christmas Party in the evening before closing for the holidays. We’ll return on Monday 8th January 2024.
